Quality Control Line Technician

Position Summary

The Quality Control Line Technician is responsible for supporting in-process quality assurance activities on the production floor. This role ensures finished goods meet company and customer specifications through real-time inspection, testing, and communication with production teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Drylock Core Values: Safety, Respect, Ownership
  • Perform in-process and finished product inspections on the production line in accordance with established quality standards and procedures
  • Conduct product testing using approved methods, including:
    • Rewet
    • Absorbent Capacity
    • Side Seam Bond Strength
    • Tab Shear and Peel Strength
    • Elastic Creep and Elongation
    • Dimensional Measurements
    • Visual Defect Identification
  • Monitor product quality during production runs and identify deviations from specifications
  • Immediately communicate defects or quality concerns to Operators, Production Group Leaders and Quality leadership.
  • Support line checks, start-up verifications, and changeover inspections
  • Assist with containment and quarantine of suspected non-conforming product
  • Complete and verify product release documentation as required
  • Accurately enter and maintain quality data in applicable systems
  • Always Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPS) and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with production teams to promote quality awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality or Production leadership

 

 

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or quality experience required

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and technical documents
  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic math skills for measurement and data recording
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to identify quality issues and escalate appropriately
  • Comfortable using computers and quality data entry systems
  • Ability to adapt to changing production needs and priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Normal mobility, strength, dexterity, visual, and auditory ability required
  • Ability to lift, bend, and move within a production environment (see detailed physical requirements document)

Work Environment

  • Work is performed primarily on the production floor in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
