Job description
- Analyze and optimize current packaging methods (corrugated, flat cardboard, paper, PE foil, stretch foil,..)
- You actively and cost-consciously search for new sustainable packaging solutions, in close collaboration with our R&D department.
- You work closely with various departments (Procurement, Sales, IT, Marketing, Finance, etc.) and contribute to building a constructive partnership with them.
- Work proactively and creatively, taking costs and efficiency into account.
- As the primary point of contact, you serve as the technical liaison for both internal teams (marketing, procurement, engineering, production) and external stakeholders (suppliers).
- You are actively coordinating Drylock’s centralized repro project, with internal and external customers and packaging suppliers.
- Additionally, you actively contribute to the expertise within the department by engaging in areas such as packaging specifications, regulatory compliance and documentation.
- With a forward-looking perspective, we also rely on you to stay well-informed about the latest developments in packaging materials.
- Your objective is to transform packaging-related inquiries into the most optimal solutions, taking into account various factors such as shelf life, supplier capabilities, manufacturability, retail considerations, and cost implications.
Profile
- A technically oriented study background in product or industrial design, engineering or packaging technologies.
- 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- You are dynamic, positive and enthusiastic. You feel comfortable in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment.
- A creative mindset with good project management skills who knows how to prioritize.
- Analytical, critical thinking and precise are your keywords.
- You are communicative, open and are fluent in English.
- You show strong interpersonal and cross-functional skills.
- You like working in an international environment and are open to moderate travel (once every 2-3 weeks).
- You have an entrepreneurial, positive mindset and get motivated by new challenges.
- You are result driven, pragmatic and hands-on. You solve problems.
