Job description
Sustainability & ESG Strategy
- Develop and implement Drylock’s ESG and sustainability strategy, ensuring compliance with EU Green Deal, CSRD, Green Claims Directive and any future directives.
- Identify and track ESG key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring our sustainability initiatives align with global best practices.
- Lead decarbonization efforts, embedding circular economy principles into our supply chain and production processes.
- Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and CO₂ footprint evaluations to quantify and improve our sustainability impact.
Product Stewardship & Circular Innovation
- Ensure all products and raw materials align with emerging sustainability standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with suppliers, regulatory bodies, and industry groups to drive sustainable material sourcing and innovation.
- Champion waste reduction, material optimization, and carbon footprint reduction across the product lifecycle.
Stakeholder Engagement & Sustainable Impact
- Represent Drylock in global trade associations (like Edana) and collaborate with NGOs, regulators, and industry leaders to advocate for sustainable policies.
- Lead sustainability communications, translating complex ESG data into clear insights for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement best practices from ESG thought leaders and industry benchmarks.
- Collaborate with NGOs, regulators, and industry peers to shape the future of sustainability in the hygiene industry.
- Bring new ESG trends, innovations, and best practices into Drylock’s DNA.
Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Chemistry, or Bioengineering OR
- Master's degree in Business, Finance, European Law, Political Science, or Public Policy, with a strong focus on sustainability management OR
- A related field with relevant expertise in sustainability, regulatory frameworks, or environmental impact analysis.
- Previous experience in sustainability, regulatory compliance, or ESG reporting is a plus—but fresh minds with a strong passion for sustainability are welcome!
- Bonus if you have experience with CSRD, LCA, carbon footprint measurement, or product stewardship.
- Passionate about circular economy, sustainability reporting, and EU regulatory frameworks.
- Detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for compliance and data-driven insights.
- Curious and proactive—you keep an ear to the ground on new EU sustainability directives.
- Strong communicator—able to simplify complex regulatory jargon into clear actions.
- Multitasker—you thrive juggling short-term deadlines with long-term sustainability strategies.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (additional languages? Even better!).
